Friday Luncheons

On Fridays, before each “A” Meet, the swim team gets together for lunch at the Riverton Country Club.  The Coaches will speak with the team regarding the upcoming meet and may remind each swimmer what event he or she will be swimming the following day.

Each luncheon will be themed with a fun activity planned for swimmers of all ages.  These are open to all swimmers and their families (babysitters included). Luncheons will be held in the Clubhouse Banquet Room.

 

As per the rules of the club, proper dress is required.  No swim attire or cut-off shorts.

  • Boys: Collared shirts and nice shorts or slacks

  • Girls: Sleeveless shirts with collar; shirt with sleeves, skirts, sundresses, slacks or Capri pants.

As per the club rules,

  • Children MUST be 14 or older to go into the locker room in the club house.

  • Children 13 and under MUST change and shower in the bathroom at the pool unless accompanied by a parent or guardian age 14 and older.

Additionally, parents with children under the age of 10 must be in attendance or provide a babysitter for their children during the luncheon.

 

Participation in the luncheons is not required but certainly adds to the fun of being on the team. 

 

A dining fee per meal per swimmer attending the luncheon is billed to member’s account.  Parents are invited to either participate in the swim team buffet (which is always kid friendly) or parent specific offering (usually salad bar). 

 

Swim Team Pool Party

Towards the end of the summer swim team season, the swim team and their families have a wonderful party at the pool.  Food and music is just part of the festivities.

 

Senior Recognition

During the last home meet of the season, we will recognize any graduating Seniors.  These swimmers will be honored with a brief summary of their accomplishments of their many years.  All families and swimmers are encouraged to support these well deserved Seniors. 

 

Swim Team Banquet

In September, the swim team gets together to celebrate their accomplishments.  Dinner is served and a DJ adds to the fun.  All swimmers will be acknowledged for their contribution to the Riverton Wave and awards will be given to particular swimmers for a variety of accomplishments.
