Practice

• Swimmers must report to practices 10 minutes before start time.
• No one should leave the pool area during practice without the coach’s permission.
• Swimmers should not wear THE RIVERTON TEAM SUIT to practice, only meets.
• Practice is rarely cancelled.For updated information, please check your email or call one of the swim team parent co-chairpersons.
• Only swim team members and their families are allowed in the pool area during practice. No exceptions!!! No swimmers or family members are allowed in the baby pool until it opens until 11am.
• Parents if you are staying for practice please sit under the pavilion. Please don’t sit on the pool deck. Please let the coaches do their job.
• No swimmers under the age of 10 are allowed to be at the pool before or after their practice time without a parent or babysitter.

Parent Guidelines

Parents must stay off the pool deck during practice. If the parent has a question for the coach please wait until practice is over to ask the coach any questions you may have. When a parent has a question or concern for one of the coaches it is imperative that the parent ask these questions or concerns off the pool deck in a private area so all questions and concerns are kept away from the swimmers.

Equipment

• 2 pairs of goggles

• 1 pair of floating fins (put child’s initials on fins)

• Swim Cap

  • Any cap can be worn at practice

  • ONLY THE RIVERTON WAVE SWIM TEAM CAP CAN BE WORN AT MEETS – this is a Tri-County rule and will be strongly enforced

• Towels & swim bag (bring several towels to meets so swimmer always has a dry one)

• Practice swim suit(s)

• Riverton Team suit
