Coaching Staff for the 2025 Briarhill Barracudas
Sydney May - Head Coach
My name is Sydney, and I am so excited to be the head coach for the Briarhill Swim Team this summer! I just graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I’ve been swimming competitively since 2009, was a member of the Briarhill team from 2017 to 2021, and have been the head coach at Briarhill since 2022. During my time at ASU, I also swam on the ASU Club Swim Team and played for the ASU Women’s Water Polo Club. I’m really looking forward to the upcoming season and can’t wait to meet the team!
Sydney Friday - Assistant Coach
My name is Sydney Friday and I am so happy to be a part of the Briarhill coaching team this summer! I have been swimming with Briarhill from 2016 up until 2022, when I graduated from Dublin High School. I am currently a Junior at San Jose State University majoring in animation/illustration. I am so delighted to be able to return to Briarhill to coach, and I can’t wait to meet this year’s team!
Ashley May - Assistant Coach
My name is Ashley May, and I’m currently a freshman in college majoring in Kinesiology. I'm also a member of my school's swim and dive team. I’ve been swimming since I was 5 years old, including 9 amazing years with the Briarhill Barracudas. This will be my third year coaching, and I’m so excited for the upcoming season and to meet all of you!
Logan Smith - Assistant Coach
My name is Logan and I am very excited to be an assistant coach for this summer’s 2025 season! I’m graduating from Dublin High this year, where I played both football and swam for the school. I have been swimming with Briarhill for 11 years, and this is my third year coaching. I’ve been part of this team for a long time, and I have nothing but great memories when I think of the Briarhill swim team. I'm also excited to continue playing football next year at Chabot College. I’m looking forward to another awesome season and can’t wait to make more great memories with all of you. Go Barracudas!
Kendal Fong - Assistant Coach
My name is Kendal Fong, and I’m excited to be one of the assistant coaches for the 2025 Briarhill swim season! I’m currently a junior at Dublin High School and have been swimming with Briarhill since 2014. This team has given me so many amazing memories, and I’m grateful to be part of such a supportive and growing community. I can’t wait for an incredible summer—Go Briarhill!
Jacob Mock- Assistant Coach
I'm Jacob Mock but most would know me as Jmo. I'm currently a sophomore at CSU Monterey Bay with a major in marine science. I graduated from Dublin High School and swam for Briarhill for over 10 years. I'm looking forward to my first season back as coach and can't wait for everything that will happen!
Sophia Camacho- Assistant Coach
Hi Briarhill Families! My name is Sophia Camacho and I’m thrilled to be part of the coaching staff for the 2025 season. I’m going into my Senior year at Dublin High School, where I’ve been on the varsity swim team since my sophomore year. I’m also a proud member of the Dublin High varsity water polo team. Outside of the pool, I enjoy spending time with my family - we love traveling to Hawaii and visiting beach towns up and down the California coast. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and volunteering at my church. I’m looking forward to a fun season, and I can’t wait to train and inspire the next generation of Baracudas!
