Volunteering at Swim Meets
Each swimmer is required to have a parent volunteer for at least one shift for each meet they attend.

Before the Meet
Parents attending an upcoming swim meet can register for specific volunteer shifts and jobs online through Team Unify. Follow the steps below to register.
-Click the Calendar Tab
-Find the appropriate meet listing and select Job Signup
-Review listed shifts and volunteer positions. Click the check box next to the appropriate shift to select
-With the checkbox filled, click the Green Sign Up Button
-Provide the contact information (name and cell phone number) of the parent volunteering at the meet
-Finalize registration by clicking the Sign Up Button
Volunteer Positions
Announcer: Declares upcoming races and important announcements over loud speaker.
Computer Operator: Tracks swimmers times and ensures timing equipment is working correctly.
Timer: Sits or stands at the end of the pool with stopwatch to time races. Times are based by watching strobe lights and timing with a stopwatch.
Backup Timer: Assists main timer. Provides stopwatch times if main timers' equipment fails.
Ribbon Writer: Works at the awards table. Applies labels or writes swimmers names and events on the backs of ribbons after the results of each meet are available.
After Meet Clean Up: Breaks down meet equipment and collects trash.
At the Meet
Parents signed up for a volunteer shift will check-in at the beginning of the meet with our Volunteer Coordinator. After check-in, they will be given instructions including where to meet and what's expected of them. Volunteer hours will be logged by the Volunteer Coordinator.
