After three days of fierce competition, our Coto Coyotes pulled away from their competition winning the CSSC Memorial Day Invitational by over 500 points. Our high school swimmers definitely proved that hard work in the pool pays off! We had exceptional performances across the board as team records were broken and CIF automatic and consideration cuts were earned. Swimming for 3 area high schools: Tesoro boys and girls, Capistrano Valley girls, and SMCHS boys and girls in 3 separate leagues our Coto swimmers blasted best times with strength and style. After three days of tiring competition Brandon Boval walked away with 2 personal best times (200 Fly, 100 Back) at Junior Nationals in Orlando, Florida. Brandon is the first Coyote to swim at Junior Nationals in over 3 years. Way to go Brandon!

With a spectacular Short Course Season, 6 Coyote Swimmers and 2 Coyote Coaches were selected to the 2012 Festival All-Star Meet. The Festival Meet will showcase 196 of Southern California's greatest 14 and under swimmers. Carter Ferrara, Carson Ferrara, Tahlia Vayser, Jonathan Cheng, Bailey Wilhelms, and Rhys Empey were the selected Coyotes. The Coto Coyote senior swimmers finished 11th at the FAST Senior Meet this past weekend, their best team finish at a senior level meet. Six team records were also broken at the meet. Hey Coyotes!! Due to the passing of Jessie Rees our fellow Coyotes decided to celebrate her life by raising money for her foundation, NEGU. After the first two bake sales/lemonade stands the Coyotes involved made a total of $416…but of course our Coyotes had bigger goals then that!! After doing another baked goods and lemonade stand today the Coyotes raised a total of $1,153.74!!!! What an amazing accomplishment!!
