Piranhas Splash Into Success at JO’s!!! The Piranha Swim Team had a great showing at the 2012 Summer Junior Olympic meet held in Riverside, Ca. Although the summer season is only 10 weeks long, it looks to be a great season of working on skills, training and meets. May 31, 2012 – The Piranha Swim Team had their annual Splash for Cash fundraiser and it was a smashing success! The attendance was higher than last year and the effort from all of the swimmers was outstanding. The goal of reaching 200 laps of the pool in about 100 minutes was attained by many of our swimmers. Thursday, May 3 - The Piranhas had a great showing at the Coachella valley high school league championship meet (DVL). Most of the events were won by Piranhas and were in the top 8 in the finals. IMPORTANT NEWS – This Week In Piranhas!!! Tour de Palm Springs Fundraising Success! The Piranha Swim Team was recently presented with a cash donation from the Tour de Palm Springs cycling event earlier this year. The organization presented a check to the Piranha Swim Team, on the deck of the Palm Springs pool with Coach Adam Schmitt for $900. This exceeded the results from last year by threefold! The Tour de Palm Springs event raised monies for our team through the raffle ticket sales as well as any entry fees...
