2024 - 2025 Academic Year Information
Please Note the Program Dates: This is for the 2024 -2025 School Year (last year)
Sierra Nevada Swimming (SNS) would like to recognize our High School Athletes for their academic achievements in the classroom during the 2024-2025 academic school year with the annual recognition of the SNS Scholar-Athlete Award.
To be eligible, an Athlete must:
- Have been in the 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade during the 2024-2025 academic year; students that just completed their Freshman Year through Graduating Seniors.
- Have a grade point average of 3.25 or Higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Be a member in good standing of a USA Swimming Member Club within the Sierra Nevada LSC.
- Submit an Online Application (Involves the Entering of Identifying Info & the Uploading of a COPY of 2024-2025 Academic Transcript) no later than FRIDAY, February 20, 2026
- The copy of the transcript that applicants submit must include grades earned through the end of the 2024-2025 academic school year.
- Reminder – As in previous years, Athletes that were named to USA Swimming’s Scholastic All-America (SAA) Team for 2024-2025, you DO NOT need to send in an application for SNS Scholar-Athlete Award – you are AUTOMATICALLY awarded.
Once the Online Application has been submitted, the applicant will receive an email confirmation. If the applicant does NOT receive a confirmation within 48 hours, they should consider their application as NOT having been received. If a confirmation is NOT received, an applicant should follow-up by sending an email message to the SNS Scholar-Athlete Award Program at [email protected] and/or re-submit an application.

Congratulations to the ONE HUNDRED FORTY-ONE (141) Sierra Nevada Athletes that were recognized as a 2023-2024 Sierra Nevada Scholar-Athlete because of their academic achievements and dedication to the sport of swimming.
To be eligible for this award, Sierra Nevada Athletes had to have been in the 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th Grade during the 2022-2023 academic year with a minimum GPA of 3.25 or higher.
Our 2023-2024 Sierra Nevada Scholar-Athletes were led by the TWENTY (20) Sierra Nevada Athletes that were also recognized as 2023-2024 USA Swimming Scholastic All-Americans (SAA).
Highlights from this year's 2023-2024 SNS Scholar-Athlete Roster include:
Jada Duncan (SMST) and Erica Jaffe (SMST) received USA Swimming Scholastic All-American (SAA) Honors for the THIRD (3RD) consecutive year
Hannah Love (ROC) was the only FOUR (4)-Time SNS Scholar-Athlete Roster Selectee on this year's roster
There were TWENTY-NINE (29) THREE (3)-Time SNS Scholar-Athlete Roster Selectees on this year's roster
