Dear Neptune Families, Thanks to everyone who gave donation’s, bought tickets, or worked on the Baskets to make the Raffle Basket Fundraiser this last weekend at the Neptune Meet a Success. The Basket’s were first class and generated a lot of interest, fun and excitement especially for the younger swimmers and many of the parents. We did much better this year than last year. Hello Neptune Families – During the nomination process for the 2011 Neptune Board of Directors Election, we had a total of four nominees. Since there were also four openings, the current Neptune BOD voted to elect the four nominees to serve a two year term on the Neptune BOD beginning at the September 19th General Membership and Board Meeting. Odds & ends... #1 - Officials are the backbone of all swim meets and by rule, the Neptunes must provide a certain number of officials at every meet attended by Neptune athletes. Without these officials, the Neptune athletes & team will be held responsible either by forcing our athletes to swim unattached (not score team points) or penalize the team financially.
