ROSE PARK/SLC — On November 4th and 5th, Utah Swimming hosted an All-Star Camp for the top swimmers in each age group. Zerin Wolfgramm was selected for the boys 10-under division; Blaire McDowell and Fanetupou Wolfgramm were selected for the girls 11-12 division; and Autumn Wolfgramm was selected for the girls 13-14 division. The camp featured coach Bob Steele, a renowned USA Swimming coach for several years. Bob was assisted by 6 local coaches who helped him guide the 2 day experience. We are happy to announce the hiring of new "Monday Coach!!" Mattie Mulick, to the SWAMI coaching staff. Mattie's inaugural day of coaching begins October 24th at 4:30pm at the Steiner West facility. She'll be coaching Junior and Senior Swami groups this fall. So too, SWAMI will be back to the old schedule with Monday as a day of training for both groups at Steiner West, and Wednesday as a day of rest for Jr. Swamis (Sr. Swamis will still be practicing on Wednesdays from 4:30-6:30pm). RACE SWAMI will be offering a Fall Swim Clinic October 19th through the 22nd! This clinic is directed towards youth who are new to the sport of swimming. There will be two days and four sessions total offered at Steiner West in the Glendale neighborhood of Salt Lake City. Two more days and four additional sessions will be offered at the Northwest Rec Center in Rose Park. The cost for this clinic is $10 per session or $15 for two sessions. The Sorenson Multicultural Center is hosting a Halloween Hustle and Food Drive on October 22nd at Jordan Park in the Glendale neighborhood of Salt Lake City. Race Swami will be volunteering at this fun event, which includes a 5K run at 8am, and a 10K run beginning at 8:30am. This is an event that benefits those in need, and Race Swami is proud to be volunteering our time for this drive.
