Race Swami To Celebrate First Anniversary On Saturday May 12th, 2012 the vaunted up-and-comer, Race Swami, will be celebrating it's inaugural anniversary in the name of outreach swimming in the state of Utah. The "FIESTA!" as it's been dubbed, will be held at Constitution Park located at the Northwest Recreation Center in Rose Park. Festivities get under way at 12:30pm. DOWNTOWN SLC -- On December 22nd, members of the Race Swami swim club spent a day volunteering at The Road Home, a social services organization located on the western edge of downtown Salt Lake City. The Road Home is a private non-profit agency that assists individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake County. ROSE PARK/SLC -- Race Swami is hosting their their third clinic of the year for the Rose Park/Glendale community beginning Monday, December 19th. The clinic will run through the end of the week, with morning sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11am to noon, and afternoons on Tuesday and Thursday from 2-3pm. ROSE PARK — Race Swami has announced that it's swimmers will be partnering with The Road Home Shelter of Salt Lake City with a service project during the holiday season. Swimmers will be volunteering at the Candy Cane Corner, a Christmas Store set up for homeless families to shop for Christmas presents. Besides volunteering at the Candy Candy Corner, SWAMIs will be encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys, books, housewares and/or warm winter clothing.
