BASS is a year-round competitive swim team based in Madison, VA. We’re dedicated to helping swimmers of all ages and abilities - from beginners to national-level athletes - reach their full potential. Our professionally coached program is designed for swimmers ages 5-18, with additional options for summer prep and adult masters swimming.
Our Philosophy
At BASS, we believe that hard work, dedication, and teamwork lead to success. The discipline gained through swimming not only develops athletic ability but also builds character, resilience, and friendships. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, supportive, and fun environment where every swimmer can grow and thrive.
Programs & Season
- Season: September – July
- Options: Year-round team, Summer Prep program, Masters program
- Registration Fee: $125 per swimmer (includes seasonal team swag)
- USA Swimming Fee: $88 annual membership (required)
- Discounts: Scholarships available (check out our scholarship form page for details)
Swim Meets
- To attend swim meets, families opt-in to meets through TeamUnify by the posted deadline.
- Parents select their swimmer’s events.
- Fees include a host surcharge plus individual event charges (outlined in each meet announcement). These fees are billed to your account.
- Please note: once entries are submitted to the host team, surcharges and entry fees are non-refundable.
