Inclement Weather Policy (Minimum One Hour Notice)


In nearly all instances, we will follow the Brooks Family YMCA’s plans directly.  If the building is on a delayed opening, early closure, or full closure, we’ll follow their lead.

For all scheduled sessions, we will notify everyone of a modification or cancellation at least one hour prior to the scheduled start time.  If you do not receive an email, practices will be at the normal time.

SENIOR GROUPS
These groups will naturally have modifications closer to the start of practice times since we are starting our sessions at the normal opening times.  On the chance a modification is necessary, I am in close contact with the YMCA administration throughout the entire evening.  At a minimum, we will make a decision one hour prior to the start of any workouts.

AGE GROUPS
These are a bit easier to get ahead of in most instances since our practices start at 4:00pm.  That being said, please follow the above guidance with the one-hour notification as being standard practice.  Normally we’ll know well in advance of a modification or cancellation and will get this info out as soon as a decision has been made.
