Swim Meet Sign-Up Instructions

To participate in swim meets, all account holders will need to 'opt in' their swimmer for the corresponding meet.  Deadlines are typically 4 weeks prior to the scheduled meet.  Following the deadline, lead group coaches will select the events they feel are best for your swimmers.

If you know for sure you will not be attending a meet, please use the 'opt out' function.

You will receive an email reminder seven days prior to the registration deadline, but you can always 'opt in' or 'opt out' well prior to the deadline.

Below are some instructions for this process:

1) Log into your SportsEngine account at swimcavs.org
2) Scroll to the 'Team Events' section on the homepage.
3) Find the corresponding meet and click 'Edit Commitment.'
4) Click on your swimmer's name.
5) Use the drop-down box under 'Declaration' to select YES or NO.
6) If there are any specific notes you would like the coaches to see as it relates to specific days the swimmer can attend, write these in.
7) Click 'Save Changes.'

Event Selection
While you can request specific events, there is no guarantee your swimmer will be entered in these.  The coaching staff will enter the swimmers in the events they feel are best with consideration to team-focused goals, long-term development of the athlete, and overall goals for the athlete.
