Cavalier Masters (formerly E Team) is a program affiliated with Cavalier Aquatics and the Piedmont Family YMCA in Charlottesville, Virginia. Cavalier Aquatics has grown to become one of the nation's premier programs and has been recognized as a Gold Medal Club by USA Swimming in 2025. The program trains at the Brooks Family YMCA (151 McIntire Park Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22902).
We offer multiple workouts in each practice session, with the goal of catering to a variety of competitive focuses - pool swimming, open water swimming, triathlon training, etc. We also welcome swimmers who are not training for anything specific, but are still enjoying every aspect of what the sport has to offer! Our approach is focused on technique for efficient swimming to help you build confidence and fitness to meet your personal goals.
Cavalier Masters (CM-Y) is a registered US Masters Swimming (USMS) club, within the Virginia LMSC. We have certified USMS Masters Coaches on deck. YMCA membership is encouraged to swim at our practice facility and USMS membership is required for all team members for insurance and liability coverage.
