Aquacise
Free for members, $10 for non-member drop in. Please note: scheduling is not necessary for Aquacise, although if you would like to receive notifications and reminders about your classes, you can sign up using our scheduler. These complete aerobic exercise classes, accompanied by music, use equipment to tone and sculpt the body. Aquacise is a non-impact exercise that improves strength, flexibility and endurance. Participants of all ages, swimmers and non-swimmers alike, can take part in this type of exercise. All classes can be modified for special needs or to personalize the intensity level.
We offer Aquacise classes Monday-Saturday. Our typical weekly schedule is as follows:
Monday: 8:30 & 10:30 AM, taught by Leslie
Tuesday and Thursday: 11:00 am taught by Lenny
Wednesday: 8:30 & 10:30 AM, taught by Etta
Friday: 8:30 & 10:30 AM, taught by Mel or Natalie
Saturday: 10:00 am taught by Lenny

Leslie has been teaching aquacise for 18 years. She is certified through the American Aquatic Exercise Association. She has also been a swim coach for 35 years.

Etta is an experienced aqua aerobics instructor with 19 years of teaching experience. She taught when the pool first opened and came back to us in 2016! She has a degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University and certifications through the Aquatic Exercise Association, American College of Sports Medicine, CHEK Institute, YMCA, Healthy Moms, and WaterART. She is currently working on her Aqua Yoga instructor certification. Etta's says she loves to "push [her] participants beyond what they think they are capable of regardless of age or physical limitations." and she believes that water provides the perfect environment for that goal.

Mel is one of our newer instructors. She teaches some Fridays at both 8:30am and 10:30am. Mel teaches a dynamic class designed to build cardio strength, enhance flexibility, and boost overall fitness in a supportive, high-energy environment. She incorporates some dance elements that combine choreography with the power of water resistance, improving mobility and endurance, and having fun every step of the way.

10:30 Class: Aqua Ease: Strength & Mobility Flow
