End of Summer Session concerns

• Treasurer - any issues with payments?
• One parent who will not be paid
• Need to send a letter to a high school conditioning athlete whose parents do not use emails

Registration

• Need to add to Registration that we will not refund if practices are canceled due to school cancellations
• Add session totals to the paperwork for Fall/Winter/Spring & Summer
• Registration - add a box asking if they had a family member swim before

Fall/Winter Sponsorship Letters

Treasurer Report

• Savings Total: $5,063.24
• Checking Total:$1,221.89
• Previous Month’s Income: $973.03 (lower than it should be due to billing error, Sept will be higher than should be. Includes $250 donation and 1 private lesson)
• Previous Month’s Coaching Pay: $901.80
• Previous Month’s Other Expenses: $736.86 ($446.87 taxes and gov fees, $74 po box, $74.07 stamps & envelopes sponsorship letters, $70 shelter rental, $33.42 office supplies, $22.50 Sierra for private lesson)
• Outdoor pool will be invoiced, but prices are being negotiable based on dates on the invoice not used and is being adjusted by the city; $500 check has been written to the city and will pay the remainder of the fee when we have the final price

• FAHS Athletic director asked FAST if we could run the concessions for the girls and boys home swim meets, in return we would be able to keep all of the profits

Scholarship Requirements​

• $500 set aside for swimsuits
• Justification on why you feel you need a scholarship

Electronics Policy

 

FAST follows the USA Swimming guidelines on electronics used in the locker rooms prohibiting any phones or other recording devices to be used:

 

“305.3 Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone camera, is not allowed in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms.”

 

FAST Policy on electronic/bluetooth earbuds is that the use of these items is a privilege and will be treated as such. High school athletes can have a discussion with the head coach about the use of earbuds at practice and a decision will be made based on your age, ability to focus at practice/complete the workout, motivation behind wearing earbuds (positivity vs negativity), etc. The swimmers and their parents should respect the decision made by the coach and know that if a swimmer is given this privilege it can be taken away at any time if they are causing a distraction in practice or they are violating other areas of the FAST code of conduct.

- Previous Month's income :$3279.73 and $228 was from concession stands from girls invite

- Previous month's coach's pay $1522.65

- Previous month's expenses: $2817.46- tax payment, lifeguard class reimburse for Oliva, swim caps, ribbons for meet, Kendra certs reimburse and Sun Prairie and JHawk meets

Spend Sponsorship money on stroube lights for colorado timing system.

Motion Made:  No motion made until more information on this as far as pricing goes and if it will work with our system.

 

Changing of bank account

Add Krystal Telfer and Amber Buckinham to the account and remove anyone else still on the account.  The people to be removed are Tonya Schultz, Kristi Davis, Jennifer Hanneman, and Sara Christ.

 

Vote on changing of bank account names: 6 Yes and 0 No

 

Any other concersn from Board of Directors?

- Boys high school season starts on November 14th.  Will need to move the following boys to suspended: Charlie, Daniel, Jack and Spencer

- Email high school maintence to see if they know if they will be shutting down the pool again for the summer.  Can not afford to do out door pool again. 

 

Saturday November 12th swim meet

- All spots in the AM are filled up

- The afternoon session we still need 6 timers

- Food:  Amber is going to order fritos and doritos for walking tacos.  Also get big dill pickles.  Tammie is going to get bakery for hospitality tent.  All other food has been selected.

- Gift cards for officals will be picked up by Tammie. Will need 5.

- Gift basket raffel.  2 for $5 or arms length $15

-Admission $5 and includes heat sheet

-Set up Friday night and ask for all donations to be brought in then.

-Send out reminder emails for the meet sign ups.
