This morning, Sophie Halper headed to Deerfield Beach, Florida for the Second-annual Metropolitan Swimming Sponsored 13&over Metro All-Star training trip. The trip featured the top “up and coming” young swimmers in the Metropolitan Conference. 2013 Metro Jr. Olympics This past weekend the Flying Dolphins competed against many of the best swimmers in our region and we showed them what we are made of! The Flying Dolphins 8 & Under’s showed off all of their hard work over the season with 61 best times. The meet was full of high team spirit and hours of fast swimming for all to enjoy! On the women’s side some of the highlights come from Adele Auchincloss who dropped over 9 seconds in her 50 back and 5.5 seconds in her 50 free. Flying Dolphins put up countless lifetime bests at the Metro Silver Championships last weekend. There were 73 best times posted by 31 of our finest swimmers! Esme Blackstock, Carly Feinblatt, Caroline Burke, Charlotte Feagin, Emily Fennell, Devon French, Ella Green, Even Lipton, Jessica Lipton, Dylan Porges, Emily Weiss, Jessica Weiss, and Claudia Yanos all put up times that qualify them for the Junior Olympic Championships. This past weekend the best swimmers in the metro area competed at the Senior Mets Championships and YFD put up some fast swims. Abby Damsky lead off the women’s 400 Medley Relay with a personal best in the 100 back that got the team to a great start. Carly Feinblatt also led off the 400 Free Relay with a personal best 100 free clocking in well under a min with a 57.39.
