Pre - Stingrays

A team member will be committed to 2 days a week of training. Team members must have a positive attitude, be team players, and be willing to work throughout the year to help build up their teammates.

Must be able to kick independently one length (25 meters) of the pool.

Demonstrates the ability to perform 25 meters of proper kicking in 2-3 of the four strokes and take instruction within a group setting.

This is our first swim team level for more inexperienced swimmers. Through structured activities and play, beginners will build their endurance while being introduced to swimming as a competitive sport.

Equipment: Mesh Bag, Rubber fins and kickboard

Benchmarks for moving up to Bronze Competitive: Demonstrates willingness to participate, swim 25 meters freestyle and backstroke continuously, and participate in regional swim meets with a legal stroke.

Bronze

A team member will be committed to 3 days a week of training. Team members must have a positive attitude, be team players, be willing to work throughout the year to help build up their teammates, and have a great work ethic. 

This group is geared toward swimmers eager to start their swimming careers. This selection is based on the four strokes or how well they listen and try.

The minimum requirements are the ability to swim unassisted, one length of pool freestyle and one length of backstroke, and love of the water. In this group, swimmers will learn the basic technique of kicking for all four strokes and develop diving skills. Can continuously swim freestyle (with rhythmic breathing) and backstroke for 25 meters.

This is the first group introduced to the world of competitive swimming. Swimmers will continue to refine the four competitive strokes and gain an understanding of technique-based drills. (terminology, skills, and strokes).

Benchmarks for moving up to Silver Competitive: Demonstrates self-awareness and the ability to take direction and apply feedback, Basic understanding of competitive swimming strokes, has basic knowledge of starts, turns, and terminology; Swims 25 meters freestyle-Backstroke-Breaststroke- Butterfly proficiently and continuously; participates in regional swim meets with a legal stroke(s)

Silver Pre - Competitive 

Team members will be committed to 4 days a week for 1 hour of training during the season. They must have a positive attitude, be team players, be willing to work throughout the year to help build up their teammates and have a great work ethic. 

The swimmer must be competent in all four strokes. And while much of the work is technique-based, they will begin to be introduced to training principles. 

Kicking and dives introduced. Swimmers in this group are encouraged to attend meets when available to test their seasonal development.

Equipment: Mesh Bag, Rubber fins, kickboard, Snorkel, and pull buoy.

Benchmarks for moving up to Gold Competitive: Continue work on all four competitive strokes, can legally swim 100 IM, can continuously swim two legal strokes for 100 meters, and have the desire and ability to compete regularly. , Participate in regional swim meets with a legal stroke(s)

Gold - Competitive 

Team members will be committed to improving stroke efficiency, training capacity, and racing skills. Swimmers in this group attend swim meets, regularly participate in a seasonal championship meet for the team, and are committed to attending at least three practices for 1.5 hours a week.

Team members must have a positive attitude, be team players, be willing to work throughout the year to help build up their teammates, and have a great work ethic. Coaches discretion based on what we believe is best for the child.

  Swimmers will continue to develop their mental, technical, and physical swimming skills through continued drill progressions and mental awareness.

Equipment: Mesh Bag, Kickboard, pull buoy, hand paddles, snorkel, and Drag SOX

Benchmarks for moving up to Platinum Competitive: Demonstrates strong leadership and ability to set goals, Maintains 80% commitment to practice, Proficient in all four competitive strokes along with Kicking proficiently in all four strokes and can legally swim 200 IM, Achieve time standards, and regularly competes at regional meets

Platinum: Competitive

Team members will be committed to 2 hours of training five days a week during the season. They must have a positive attitude, be team players, be willing to work throughout the year to help build up their teammates and have a great work ethic. 

Competes in 80% of swim meets per year. Swimmers will continue to develop mental, technical, and physical aspects of swimming. Based on continued drill progressions and continuous mental awareness.

This group is intended for swimmers who have proven their self-discipline and commitment to the sport. Swimmers want to strengthen their technique and stamina in all four strokes to improve competitively while striving to meet new individual goals.

Elite: Competitive

Team members will be committed to 1.5 hours of training five days a week during the season. They must have a positive attitude, be team players, be willing to work throughout the year to help build up their teammates and have a great work ethic. 

The head coach picks this group according to what they believe is best for each swimmer. The group will be dedicated to making Championship meets in the SC and LC seasons, setting goals with a coach to achieve swimmers’ highest potential in and out of the water.

Fitness Group:

We understand that only some people who love the water want a competitive environment or to commit to daily training. This group is designed for athletes wishing to swim for recreational or general fitness reasons or to complement a primary sport outside the water.

If an athlete wants to experience the competitive side, as a Fitness swimmer, you can participate in any home meets or fun meets we organize throughout the year.

If, at any time, Fitness swimmers want to take a more serious approach to the sport, they can transition to the appropriate level squad for their speed and age (space permitting) with the intent to meet the commitment level expected of that group.

Fitness meets only three times a week for one hour in the water.
