JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT

(11-13 years old)

 

Coach: Dorian Glover

 

Introductory program for swimmers ages 11-13. Junior development goal is to develop and refine skills in all four competitive strokes, starts and turns.

The focus for the group is to begin engaging in the sport and learning foundational core values: personal health management, goal setting progression,

and teamwork. Participation in a variety of additional sports and activities is encouraged in moderation. Participation in meets is flexible, but a required

component of learning. Recommended workout participation is 3-4 days per week. Dryland is offered as a supplement to overall experience and is focused

on balance and movement.

 

JUNIOR ADVANCED

(9-13 years old)

 

Coach: Jennifer Espinoza

 

High performance program for swimmers 9-13. Junior advanced is comprised of experienced swimmers, who traditionally have achieved BB+ race times

at local and regional competitions. The focus for the group is to refine skills, apply foundational core values and begin learning principles of leadership.

Recommended participation is 4-5 days per week.Dryland is offered in complement to swim sessions with a goal of increasing awarness, balance,

and improving overall athleticism.

 

JUNIOR ELITE

(11-13 years old)

 

Coach: Renata Martinez

 

Junior Elite group is made up of 11-14 year olds ranging from Age Group Championship to Senior level swimmers and is designed for those who have made

a commitment to year round swimming and wish to excell in this competitive sport. Junior Elite swimmers will compete in the age group and senior level of Southern California

Swimming and are expected to meet attendance and other requirements during the course of the season.
