The traditional Swartz Deli visit for our good luck team lunch occurred today. We had smoked meat pickles fries and a cherry coke.

Finishing his best senior nationals in style Stefan sets a new club record in the 50 free 15-17 with a 23.78 for 8th overall. A great nationals for our entire crew.

Stefan Milosevic qualifies for the 50 Free final in 8th spot with a best time swim in prelims. Sara Whelan cranks out a new senior national qualifying time in her 800 free racing to second in her heat.

Justin Kiedrzyn dominated his heat for a big best time swim at 57.46. While a great effort it will not advance to finals. As with his other swims he is just shy by .5 sec. Mia Bottrill also earned a new best time in her race finishing 4th in her heat to move up to 30th overall. Stefan swam the 400 in prelims and did not advance.

Stefan returned to the podium again tonight this time in the silver medal position. A fantastic finish in the 100 free had all the racers coming to the wall together looking for the touch. After the times all went up on the board Stefan was 8th. Clearly a soft touch we all waited for the board to roll and once it did he moved up to second. It could have gone either way on that finish it was that close. So a new BC and Club Record from the morning...

Stefan posted a new BC provincial record for 15-17 boys breaking Brent Hayden's old mark. His time of 51.41 puts him second heading into tonight's final. Stefan also qualified in the 400 IM with the third fastest time from the morning. Sara Whelan swam her 400 IM heat finishing 4th.

Stefan achieves his first National Medal and makes it a gold! His dramatic win earned him a trip to the World Junior Championships in Dubai as well. It is also a new 15-17 and Open club record. This medal is also the first gold medal in Hyack Senior National swimming in 15 years. Mia Bottrill also had a great race to win her first ever Senior National B final. Sara Whelan finished the night with a gutsy swim that saw her finish 10th in her first A final race. A...

Stefan Milosevic posted the second fastest time this morning in 200 free. Mia Bottrill breaks club record in 15-17 200 fly and is going in 1st in the B final. Justin Kiedrzyn placed 24th in 200 fly just off a second swim. Lets go for finals tonight!
