The Windsor Aquatic Club wants your child to be a fast, competitive swimmer. We have a series of groups that will teach your child the skills needed to advance to the next level.

All swimmers are asked to be on deck 15 minutes before the start of practice

Pre Swim4Success

 

PreS4S is  for swimmers who are not quite ready for the S4S group.  Pre S4S will have smaller group size (up to 4 swimmers) with one coach in the water with them. 

Practice Tuesday & Thursday, one half hour each.  You can choose between 5:00—5:30 pm, or 5:30—6:00 pm

Swim4Success

 

The Swim 4 Success pre-competitive program will be broken into 3 colour groups; White, Blue & Orange with an option of 2 or 3 practices a week.  Swimmers in the Orange group may be asked to 1 competition a session if they are ready to do so.  Once a swimmer meets all the criteria in the Orange group they would move into the competitive stream and into the SEAL group

Starting session 2 :  Jan 6, 2024 - some changes for S4S:

2 days/week options:

  • Monday/Wednesday:  5:00—6:00 pm at the WIATC
  • Tuesday/Thursday:  5:00—6:00 pm  at the U
  • Tuesday/Thursday:  6:00—7:00 pm at the U

SEAL Jr. & SEAL Sr.

 

This is our first level of competitive swimming.  These groups will be expected to go to local developmental meets. Focus is on improving on the basic competitive swimming skills.

Competitive

 

The Competitive group will compete at the local level with the opportunity to attend invitational meets outside Windsor-Essex. Continued focus on improving competitive swimming skills.

The Important of Dryland Training for Swimmers

 



Age Group Development

 

This group is for swimmers who are competing at the regional and festival level. Swimmers will learn competitive swimming skills.

This group is for swimmers at the regional & festival level.  The main focus is on mastering skills & introduction to training principles.

This group is for swimmers at the regional & provincial level.  The swimmers will hone their skills and start to apply the training principles learned in the previous groups.

This group is for swimmers who have shown the ability to train properly & are competing on the provincial & national level.
