The Midwest All-Star Championships is an annual meet between Iowa Swimming, Midwestern Swimming, Minnesota Swimming, South Dakota Swimming and Colorado Swimming. Ozark has now been included in this meet. Who is invited to All-Star Championships? The overall top 12 Ozark swimmers of each gender and age category will be selected to the Ozark All-Star team based on top IMX Scores. Qualifying Period:
September 1, 2026 - December 14, 2026. After the last Ozark meet has been updated, we will go through the selection process.
All-Star Championships Selection Process:
The Ozark All-Star Team is selected using a high point system for Ozark swimmers 14 & Under in the following age categories: 10 & Under, 11-12 and 13-14. Using the USA Swimming database, top IMX scores are obtained for each gender and age category and the top 12 swimmers will be selected. Swimmers will be considered in the age category in which they fall based on their age at the first day of the Midwest All-Star meet; January 10, 2026. The overall top 12 swimmers in each gender and age category will be selected to the Ozark All Star team. If swimmers in the top 12 decline on attending the meet, then the next person will be offered.
What are IMX scores?
IMX stands for Individual Medley Xtreme. The IMX ranking includes a series of five or six events at longer distances. Once you've completed the IMX program, you can find out where your IMX score ranks nationally, within your zone, within your LSC and on your club. Any event not completed will not produce an official score. Rankings in the program are based on power points, a system developed by USA Swimming.

The Head All-Star Coach will select the entries. Relay entries are completed prior to each session of the meet and are based on each athletes times used for their individual events and also their performance at the meet up till that session. Individual entries and relay teams are selected to create the most well-rounded, the fastest, and most successful team possible. Relay entries are subject to change at any time and are at the coaches discretion. How will I be notified if I make the team? Shortly after the deadline, an email with the initial roster and RSVP information will be emailed to all coach contacts within Ozark Swimming.
