Important Registration Information:
- Please contact your club to see if they are renewing your membership or whether you need to self-renew
- USA Swimming App may be used to access membership card as well as online SWIMS account.
- For those unattached to a club, the link will be provided by the Ozark Registrar, Trish Grant ([email protected])
- Adult athletes (18 and older) must complete Athlete Protection Training (APT) to retain their membership status. Failure to complete APT will result in being rejected from Sanctioned meets and uninsured at all practices and member events. Athletes 16 & 17 years of age may create their own USA Swimming Account in preparation for completing the APT requirement 30 days prior to turning 18 (Athletes will no longer have a 30 day grace period after turning 18 to complete this course). ALL adult athletes must have their own USA Swimming Account to link up APT course completion.
- Parents who are not USA-S members themselves can create log-ins without registering.
Important FAQs for Clubs:
- Club admin must renew club registration through their SWIMS account.
- Clubs admins have the ability to control their club's offerings. If you don’t want Flex or Seasonal, etc., you must turn these options OFF. You have the ability to turn these on and off throughout the year. Click here for more details.
- Under no circumstances can athletes compete or practice without a valid registration.
- It is discouraged for clubs to post their registration link on any public forums. If links become compromised, it’s possible to generate a new link. It is important for club admins to frequently check both athlete and non-athlete rosters in SWIMS to ensure accuracy. There is a separate registration link for outreach athletes. Clubs must verify eligibility before providing this link or registering athletes as outreach members.
- Club admins should frequently check athlete and non-athlete rosters through SWIMS. If they don’t recognize an individual or have verified an individual does not belong to their club, they should transfer them to OZ/UN.

Important Non-Athlete FAQs:
- All officials, including admin officials must register as an Official.
- All coaches must register as a Coach, Provisional Coach, or Junior Coach (16-17 years old).
- All Meet Directors, Chaperones, and any with frequent/direct contact with athletes (other than coach/official) must register as Other.
- Club board members, non-coach employees, webmaster, treasurer, club registrar may register as Administrator as long as they are not also a coach, official, meet director, chaperone or anyone with frequent/direct contact with athletes.
Athlete Transfers:
All transfer requests must be initiated in SWIMS 3.0.
For swimmers transferring into your club, their transfer is initiated from their USA Swimming Membership record. The swimmer's USA Swimming Membership record may be accessed by the parent on whose account they are a family member or by the swimmer if they have their own login account. After logging in to their USA Swimming account:
- parents click VIEW next to the swimmer's name in the My Family box [if the swimmer is logged in to their own USA Swimming account, they don't need to complete this step]
- click General Info in the My Account box
- click on the Club Transfer tab
- click the arrow next to the current club
- click on Initiate Transfer.
- complete the information about the New Club, the name of the person submitting the transfer, and click SUBMIT TRANSFER. The transfer will be submitted to the Ozark Registrar for approval.
