    1 The International Swimming Hall of Fame, currently located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, may be relocating to Santa Clara, California once the lease for its museum, first opened in 1965, expires in 2015.  Hall of Fame officials are dissatisfied with the planned redesign of the aging Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Complex and its swimming pools, citing it would move the museum to an unappealing building in a poor location, and would fail to attract more visitors to the site.   Click HERE for the full story      

Pine Crest Swimming hosted it's annual "Mini Meet" and "Team BBQ" on Saturday, May 11 with a tremendous turnout and successful day.  Over 250 people attended the day which started out with our Age Group joint practice at 7:00am, followed by our 6th Annual Mini Meet at 9:30am and finished with the Team BBQ which finished at 2:00pm. Congratulations to all our swimmers that travelled down to Islamorada for our first travel meet of the season at the Founders Park Pool.  Pine Crest Swimming had over 40 swimmers attend with their families for the two day morning only meet.  A team lunch at Marker 88 Restaurant and fun activities in the afternoon made the weekend an enjoyable weekend with great weather.   Click HERE for the full results ***  A mistake in event 41 has been since adjusted ***

Congratulations to all our swimmers that participated in the Spring Sizzler at Pompano Beach on Friday evening.  Sometimes the Sizzler's can look a little chaotic behind the blocks as some parents try to find their child in the ballpen.  The Pine Crest team was well behaved and the kids look like a unified team in their suits and caps, all sitting in the assigned team area with their PC Coach.  Especially noted was some of our girls on the team that helped other swimmers from other teams that needed some...

Congratulations to Marissa Brannan (13 years old) who was selected for the Florida Gold Coast All Star Open Water Challenge against Florida Swimming and Gulf Swimming.  Marissa swam in the 13-14 Age Group 5K Open Water Division, placing 7th overall.  The Open Water Challenge happened at the Open Water Festival in Miromar Lakes, Fort Myers this past weekend.   Click HERE for the overall results.
