Congratulations to Coach Janet Gabriel and the Pine Crest Divers that had such an outstanding performance at the Orlando, FSPA Invitational. Carolyn Chaney, 9th grade, won the Girls Diving event by defeating the 2A State Champion in Diving from Leon High by a score of 475.60 to 461.55.  Carly Ehlich, 7th grade, also finaled placing 13th against very strong State wide high school divers. Pine Crest went to St. Andrews School in Boca Raton on Tuesday to take on the "Scots" in what is turning out to be one of our best dual meets of the season every year.  While the results are "Unofficial" it appears from how Coach David and Coach Mariusz were keeping score that the Panthers won both the boys and girls meet.  The boys meet was clearly won by Pine Crest as the Panthers dominated most of the events.  If our scoring is correct the Lady Panthers won by 4...

Diana Nyad graduated from Pine Crest School in 1967 and is well known in the world as one of the greatest long distance swimmer's.  At age 61, Diana attempted the 103 mile Cuba to Florida route swimming without a shark cage this past week. After several weeks of weather delays and cancel meets, Pine Crest finally opened the dual meet season with a double victory over 2A State Champions Boca High and 1A rivals Ransom Everglades.  Swimming at the brand new Boca High Aquatic Center, the Panthers proved that it is the TEAM concept that leads to victory.  Boca High and Ransom had their share of wins throughout the meet but it was the TEAM performance of Pine Crest the produced the victory for both the men and women of Pine Crest. Below are the results from the High School Swim Meet at Gulliver Preparatory School's "2nd Annual Marian Krutulis Invitational", held on Saturday, September 17, 2011.  This meet was a prelims and finals event with the top 20 swimmers from the morning swimming at night in either a "B" or "A" Final. Every PC swimmer made an "A" or "B" final. Pine Crest Girls finished in second place behind Bolles with 215 points. Congratulations to both Delaney Brock and Edward Walker both Pine Crest Seniors who are semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship.  Both Delaney and Edward swim on our High School Swim Team and Club Team.   Delaney is co-captain of the Boys High School Swim Team and Edward was one of our Rising Star Swim Camp and Lessons Coach this past summer.   Click HERE for the full story.
