Saturday, May 21 was a full day at the Boca Raton campus.  Swimmer's from the Age Group started their combined swim practice at 9am and by 11:30am everyone was heading towards the water slide.  All families from both campuses, from our Lesson Program, Novice Group, Age Group and even a few Seniors came to enjoy a Team BBQ and Fun Day.  Games in the pool, greased watermelon, money dive, color your own beach ball, water slide, and a full BBQ lunch was enjoyed all everyone.  

FGC Swim Official, Mike Fish dies in a tragic accident.   A loved, appreciated and valuable member of the swim officiating community in our state is no longer with us.  Florida Gold Coast Official Mike Fish (40 years old) passed away this week after succumbing to injuries sustained when he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle in Coral Springs.  Mike had been a USA Swimming official for seven years, both here in Florida and Albany, New York, and was a valued member of our greater swimming community....

Congratulations to our Pine Crest swimmer's who competed this past weekend.   Brittany Hammond 400IM finished in 32nd with a time of 5:03.80 400 free finished in 43rd with a time of 4:28.65 (best time) 200IM finished in 66th with a time of 2:25.87 (best time) 400 medley relay lead off finished in 10th with a time of 1:08.40 (best time by almost 8 seconds)   Zeineb Khalafallah 200 free finished in 45th with a time of 2:06.35 50 free finished in 45th with a time of 27.38 800 free...

"ISHOF Fran Crippen 1 Mile Dash for Cash" Saturday, May 7, 2011   Fran Crippen Safe Swim 1 Mile Dash for Cash Race The 1 Mile Race will take place off the Fort Lauderdale Beach in the Atlantic Ocean.  The course will be a straight one mile course both starting out of the water and finishing out of the water on the beach.   All participants will receive a timing chip, and there will be video backup for the race as well.  This race will be capped at 600 swimmers, and...
