This week, Pine Crest School enjoys a taste of athletic excellence from Brazil - host of the 2016 Summer Olympics! The Brazil Swimming Federation selected Pine Crest School as the site for the Brazil Correios 2011 Swim Camp. Led by Ms. Giovana Moreira, Director of International Affairs for the Brazilian Swimming Federation, 14 swimmers were selected from a National competition in Brazil. Congratulations to Adam Dear (15 years old) who made the "Zone Select Camp" for the Southern Zone, which will train at the University of Louisville, Kentucky, May 26-29. 28 male and 28 female athletes are selected in each of the four Zones. Congratulations to all the swimmer's from our Novice Group in Fort Lauderdale who enjoyed two days of fun racing on May 23-24 at the Lower School Pool. Monday was the 25 yard races for butterfly and backstroke, Tuesday was the 25 yard races for breaststroke and freestyle. Congratulations on another successful "Mini Meet" at the Boca Raton campus which happened on Thursday, May 19. Over 85 swimmer's participated in this year's 5th Annual Mini Meet. The pool deck was full of families, grandparents, teachers and friends to watch our swimmer's from the Lesson Program and Novice Swim Group show off their swimming skills.
