Weeks 1 & 2 of Competitive Swim Campers filled the day with swim practice, dryland, baseball game, Rapids Water Park, Disney, Laser Tag, beach, dodgeball, bowling, and of course making friends from all over the world. Another week of fun for the Rising Star Swim & Dive Camp.  Our field trip on Friday was more excitement on the water slide and all the children went home with their own 4th of July goodie bag.

Over 30 children filled the pool at Fort Lauderdale with laughs and smiles as we swam, played, flew down the water slide, braved the 3 meter diving board, worked their game skills on the arcade games and of course went home happy with their swimming race ribbon.  

Congratulations to the Pine Crest swimmer's that represented the Florida Gold Coast Open Water All Star Team.  The team started on Friday with a warm-up at the Fort Lauderdale beach and observed the 10K National Championships.  On Saturday they drove to Fort Myers for an Open Water Clinic and the Crippen 1 mile swim. Congratulations to the Pine Crest boys who broke the FGC Long Course Relay Record for the 17-18 age group in the 200 Medley Relay in a time of 1:49.88.  This team broke the record on March 17, 2011 at the Speedo Sectional Championships at Fort Lauderdale.   200 Medley Relay Marcel Betschart Michal Rokita Thomas Veale Gotti Eisenberger    

Over 45 young swimmer's attended both the Boca Raton & Fort Lauderdale Rising Star Swim Camp for Week 1 (June 6 - 10). A week of swim drills, fun races, movie time, arts & crafts, diving, board games and a special trip to the Boca Raton campus for our campers from Fort Lauderdale ended the week with a blast!
