USASwimming Votes to Restrict Certain Swimsuits for 12&Under Swimmers! At the 2008 United States Aquatic Sports Convention in Atlanta, USA Swimming’s House of Delegates voted to restrict the use of certain "high tech" swimsuits for 12 & Under competition. The legislation will restrict swimmers ages 12 and younger from wearing suits of any material that extend past the knee cap, past the shoulder, or above the neck.
