This week is "Jimmy V Week", sponored by ESPN. Jim Valvano was a basketball coach at North Carolina State, and an award winning broadcaster. Before passing away from bone cancer in 1993 Coach Valvano, his friends, family and ESPN founded the V Foundation, a charity to raise money for cancer research. Click here to go to jimmyv.org. SPEEDO FLORIDA GOLD COAST WINTER CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008 On behalf of the City of Plantation Swim Team and Booster Club I would like to thank all the officials, volunteers, swimmers and coaches for participating in the 2008 Speedo Florida Gold Coast Winter Championships swim meet.
