USA Swimming Scholastic All American Award (application period is open on the USA Swimming website June 1-August 15 https://www.usaswimming.org/times/popular-resources/scholastic-all-america Requirements: Must have completed 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, minimum 3.5 GPA for the current academic year, must have swum an individual pool time equal to a Winter Juniors qualifying time during the SAA qualifying period.

Iowa Swimming and Judy Hoffman Scholarships Application due March 15th, announced in April, awarded at Spring House of Delegates meeting. Athlete Application for Iowa Swimming Schloarship Both the IASI Swimming Scholarship and Judy Hoffman Memorial Scholarship Awards are granted to graduating high school seniors attending college in the fall of the same year. The awards are determined by the Scholarship Committee, with approval of the Iowa Swimming Board of Directors and based on qualities of citizenship, leadership, academics, service to Iowa Swimming, club representation, swimming excellence, and need.

Congratulations to Hannah Cousins PSC, 2024 recipient of the Judy Hoffman Memorial Scholarship Award
Evan Feilmeyer, son of Frank and Vikki Feilmeyer, graduated with the class of 2024 at Ames High School. Evan has been swimming for 10 years with ACAC and the Ames High School Swim teams. In High School, Evan earned Scholastic All American and All American status while maintaining a 4.0 gpa. Through club swimming, he qualified for and swam at Winter Junior National Championships, Futures, Sectionals, and Iowa LSC Championships. In 2022, Evan achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Evan will attend Grinnell College, where he will study economics and swim.
Joe Polyak has swam competitively the past eleven years with the Iowa Flyers Swim Club. At IFLY, Joe has improved each year, obtaining additional Sectional, Future, Junior, US Open, and Olympic Trial cuts to be a leader in his club and community. He graduated from Regina High School and, through a co-op agreement, swam his four years of highschool with City High where he accumulated three state titles and five school records, reaching All-American status. As the Senior Scholastic Award Recipient, National Merit Finalist, secretary for the National Honor Society, and school valedictorian, Joe has also been uniquely committed to his academics. Joe will swim competitively next fall at the University of Minnesota where he plans to double major in biochemistry and history.
Hannah Cousins, daughter of Heather and Aaron Cousins is a graduate of Davenport Central High School, where she was a captain of the Central High School Girls Swim and Dive team. She swam competitively on both the Piranhas Swim Club and Davenport Metro Swim Team for the past 14 years. Hannah also won IGHSAU and IASI State titles. She thrives in the classroom and the pool where she has earned Scholastic All-American and All-American Academic honors. Hannah is an athlete representative for the Iowa Swimming Board of Directors, serves on numerous committees, and is a member of the National Officials Committee. She plans to attend the University of Iowa to study Human Physiology and continue her athletic career.
