We are almost at the end of the 2025 Long Course Season with three meets to go for some of our athletes and members - Zones, Juniors, and TYR Summer Champs. We have had a very successful season. To help our official's prepare for the Central Zone Open Water Championships the Central Zone will be hosting an Open Water Officials Clinic. The presenters for this clinic will be Mike Mellock, Andrea Davis Kelley and Mike Repko. Over the past 15 years, photographer Chris Pose has become a familiar and welcome face on deck at IASI meets - capturing a generation of our athletes, as well as the coaches, officials, and many volunteers that support our sport. Chris began taking photos at meets when his daughters swam with the YMCA club in Waukee in 2009. At the 2024 IASI Long Course Championships, we celebrate our Iowa Swimming athletes who have set a New Iowa Swimming Short Course Record between 4/1/2023-3/31/2024, our 2024 Senior Athletes of the Year, 2024 IASI and Judy Hoffman Scholarship recipients, and our 2024 Phillips Service Award recipient. The Great Lakes LSC Open Water Championships will be held on Thursday, June 27th, 2024 at Lake Andrea, Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin. Multiple LSCs will be participating - IL, IA, MI, and WI, and the meet has been designated as the 2024 IASI Open Water Championships. Registration for the meet will open on June 1st and continue through June 20th. IASI Awards: Iowa athletes will be scored independently from the rest of the meet.
