Safe Sport at Events
Meet 360 is a Safe Sport planning packet designed for meet hosts, meet directors, meet referees and meet organizers. This resource is "Safe Sport in a Box" and is intended to assist in integrating Safe Sport throughout your meet. Meet 360 has 2 main parts:
- Quality Control System (QCS) - (page 3-4) MUST BE followed at all USA Swimming and LSC Sanctioned events. These items are REQUIRED by the US Center for SafeSport.
- Optional Resources and Best Practices at Meets - (page 5-7) are NOT required by the US Center for SafeSport, however, these are helpful tools to aid you as Meet Director, along with the Meet Referee, in planning and prevention, integrating SafeSport into all aspects of your meet, and response to Safe Sport issues. - Planning list for pre-event/during event/post-event (pg 5-7)
- Potential Safe Sport issues and recommended responses (pg 8-9)
- Additional Resources, including key links to Safe Sport Policies, Reporting Info, and Banned/Suspended lists (pg 10)

- Worksheet for compiling your key contacts, chain of command, and plan for dealing with policy violations
- Safe Sport Posters for printing and placing around your meet facility
- Briefing sheets to be read at your Coaches, Officials, Times, Meet Marshalls, and Volunteer Briefings

- Locker Room poster – place 1-2 in every locker room/changing area
- Recognize, Respond, Report poster – place around the pool deck
- No Cameras poster – place behind the blocks, including in any spectator areas above and behind the blocks
- No Deck Changing poster – place around the pool deck where teams are sitting
- Massage poster– place several around the deck. If your meet has designated massage area, place this poster there, too.
