Safe Sport Recognition Program

The Safe Sport Recognized Club Program (SSRP) allows a USA Swimming member club to demonstrate its commitment to creating an abuse-free, safe, healthy and positive environment for all its members. Using a web-based tool accessed through their club portal, clubs can earn SSRP status by describing club procedures, uploading their policies and verifying education and Safe Sport training efforts. Once completed, clubs receive a badge to display on their club website and will be designated as Safe Sport Recognized on the USA Swimming Find-A-Club online search tool.

Safe Sport Recognition is valid for 2 years. Clubs may renew their Safe Sport Recognized Club status by reviewing and resubmitting their SSRP application.

Is your Club a Safe Sport Recognized Club yet? Is it time for your Club to renew their Safe Sport Recognition? Start here.

Team Culture Boosters

       For all age-groups:

  • Safe Sport Mondays Safe Sport Mondays is a national program to launch conversation within swim clubs about everyday issues that clubs face. Having regular, short conversations about different team and Safe Sport related issues can strengthen a club's values and open productive communication channels. The goal - spark meaningful conversations and build strong, healthy communities within clubs. Designed to be used once-per-month, coaches read a brief scenario to their swimmers and lead a short, 5-10 minute group discussion about the scenario. For more information, and for a library of previously used conversation scenarios, click HERE
