Congratulations to Susan Repko, recipient of the 2024 Outstanding Service Award for Iowa

Swimming! Susan has been an invaluable member of Iowa Swimming, volunteering her expertise

and time in many ways helping our LSC.

Susan can often be found on the pool deck working on the weekends somewhere in Iowa. She first

began working as an official at Iowa swim meets in 2016 and has continued since then. She works

all levels of meets from to entry level meets including dual meets or intrasquad meets to the LSC’s

fastest competitions. She once made the comment that she likes working Regional meets because

these meets are just as important as higher level meets.

During the last four years, Susan has also served on Iowa Swimming’s Board of Directors as its

Secretary. She has done an excellent job within this role by providing accurate and concise notes

for all of the LSC’s House of Delegates and Board of Directors meetings. During these meetings,

she does more than just take notes. She also has provided insightful recommendations while

serving in this leadership position.

Additionally, Susan volunteers more of her time as she serves on the LSC’s Technical Planning

Committee, and has done so for many years. She uses her experience and knowledge gained

during her time volunteering as the entries chair and Administration Referee while helping the

Technical Planning Committee develop our LSC’s championship meets. She is one of the LSC’s “go-

to” experts when it comes to setting up these meets in Meet Manager.
