Bronze - Ages 6-9
Qualifications: Swimmers can perform all four competitive strokes, and are physically and developmentally ready to learn more advanced skills and techniques.
Description: Stroke, turn, and start instruction in practice with a primary focus on having fun and participating in a swim team setting in order to build a healthy long-term relationship with the sport of swimming. 60 minutes of instruction each workout.
Practice Attendance: 4 scheduled practices per week. Coaches recommend attending a minimum of 2-3 practices per week.

Silver I - Ages 9-10
Qualifications: Swimmers must be able to complete a legal 100 Yard Individual Medley.
Description: This is a competitive group that will focus on fundamentals, stroke mechanics, conditioning and race strategies. Skill and technical instruction continue to be emphasized and prioritized, however new elements of competitive swimming - such as aerobic sets and working on time intervals - are also introduced.
By the time swimmers are 10 years old, the expectation is that they have achieved at least three 10 & Under time standards for the Mid Atlantic 10U Championship.

Practice Attendance: 5 scheduled practices per week. Coaches recommend attending a minimum of 3 practices per week.
Meet Attendance: Swimmers are required to attend meets relevant to this group.

Silver II - Ages 9-10
Description: This group will focus on fundamentals, stroke mechanics, conditioning and race strategies. Skill and technical instruction continue to be emphasized and prioritized, however new elements of competitive swimming - such as aerobic sets and working on time intervals - are also introduced.

Electrum - Ages 9-12 - Winter Only
Description: This winter only group is for athletes ages 9-12 and will focus on fundamentals, stroke mechanics, conditioning and race strategies. This group will focus on starts, turns and technique in all four competitive strokes. It is a blend of our Silver II and Gold II offerings and will be run by Coach Joe Fitzgerald and Coach Tom Wilkinson
Practice Attendance: 3 scheduled practices per week. Coaches recommend attending a minimum of 2 practices per week. Winter registration option available.
Meet Attendance: Swimmers are encouraged to attend one meet per month, but not required.

Gold I - Ages 11-12
Description: Skill and technical instruction continue to be emphasized and prioritized, however basic aerobic training features prominently as well. Athletes in this group will compete in qualified meets up to Junior and Silver Champs. Swimmers are being developmentally prepared to continue progressing towards more intensive and challenging practice groups.
Complete IMR and IMX events in competition during the swim season.
Practice Attendance - 5 scheduled practices per week. Coaches recommend attending a minimum of 4 practices per week.
Meet Attendance - Swimmers are required to attend all meets relevant to this group. Long Course and Short Course.

Gold Select I - Ages 13-14
Description: This group focuses mainly on the aerobic phase of a swimmers career. Emphasis is on continued stroke and technique development while adding in more challenging aerobic sets. This is a key age for swimmers to maximize their aerobic development, which is a critical building block for their long term swimming success. The purpose of this group is to teach swimmers how to train effectively and learn how to approach sets with goals in mind for that day, which becomes more important as they progress through their later swimming career.
This group also focuses on the transition into the high school environment, which involves balancing an increase in training expectations, an increasing academic workload as well as the addition of high school swimming. Swimmers are also expected to begin to take more responsibility and maturity towards their own swimming including advocating for their own individual training needs. By the completion of this group, swimmers should be able to handle approaching a swim season with proper goal setting and mental preparation for both swimming and high school.
Requirements:
- Meet the goal standards established for the Gold Group.
- Complete the IMX events both short course and long course.
Practice Attendance: 6 scheduled practices per week. Coaches recommend attending a minimum of 5 practices per week.

Platinum Checklist
- Declare your intention to your group head coach.
- A minimum of two senior champ cuts
- 80% or greater practice attendance
- Completion of the IMX Challenge
- Must be on the “A” interval in your current group
- Compete in all meets during the fall, winter, spring, and summer seasons that your group is scheduled.
- Must attend the highest level championship meet in its entirety for mid season championship, end of season championship, and LC summer championship.
Gold Select II - Ages 13-14
Description: This group is for swimmers ages 13 and 14 who are serious about conditioning & improving. This group will focus on starts, turns and technique in all four competitive strokes. Swim meet attendance is highly recommended but not required. Work towards completing the IMX events.
Practice Attendance: 5 scheduled practices per week. Coaches recommend attending a minimum of 3 practices per week. Year-round or seasonal registrations options available.

Senior I - High School
Qualifications: Swimmers entering the Senior I group must be in high school and must have 4 “B” Times and complete the IMR and IMX events.
Description: This group is for high school swimmers only who are serious about conditioning and continual improvement. Technique and training are highly emphasized in this group. The coaching staff will strive to help the swimmers become diverse beyond their primary events.
Practice Attendance - The coaching staff recommends the following...
- Freshman & Sophmore Year - 4 out of 6 practices per week (minimum)
- Junior & Senior Year - 5 out of 6 practices per week (minimum)

We will also be offering a seperate warmup for high school swimmers this fall. Information regarding the program will be released at the end of July.
Platinum
This is a year-round training group and is the highest level of training offered. Swimmers train heavily in all four competitive strokes and focus on becoming the most competitive well-rounded swimmer they can be. Swimmers enter the Platinum group at the discretion of the Platinum Group Head Coach.
Practice Attendance: A practice attendance of at least 80% - including during high school season - is required to stay in the group. (Including team dryland)
Requirements:
- A minimum of two senior champs cuts
- Completion of the IMX Challenge
- Attending all the days of a long course championship meet designated by the coaching staff even when there is a conflict with a summer league dual meet
Meet Attendance: Swimmers are required to attend all meets relevant to this group both during the short course and long course seasons.
