It takes a village to run our CCA Swim & Dive program.  Anyone who has been to even one swim/dive or mini meet knows that it takes much effort on the part of parent volunteers to make it happen. Approximately 20-25 parent volunteers are needed for each home/away swim meet and approximately 7-8 parent volunteers for each home/away dive meet.  We will be looking for help from every family during the season, and we are sure that everyone can find a job they enjoy doing.

A description of the volunteer positions jobs is provided below:

DIVE TEAM: (Number of people)

Diving Meet Director (1-2): The Diving Meet Director will work with the Diving SAL Rep and Diving Coach to determine the schedule, coordinate volunteers, and facilitate the efficient running of the meet.

Announcer (1):   This is a great job for someone with a strong voice. You announce the names of the diver and the description of the dive.  Does require some training in order to appropriately identify dives.

Diving Judge (2-3):  This job requires participation in a short training session prior to the meet.  This involves judging the dives based on specified criteria. Highest and lowest scores are discarded in scoring therefore, a comprehensive understanding of diving is not required.

Scorer’s Table (1-2): This job requires no advance training prior to the meet.  Scoring table volunteers are responsible for verifying accuracy of diving sheets, recording scores, and tallying scores. Strong math skills or knowledge of diving are not required.

Other duties – outside of meets:

Banquet Coordinator (1):  The Banquet Coordinator will organize the entire process, from set up and break down.  They will (with reimbursement) purchase any necessary items for the banquet, and coordinate with the board/coaches.

Banquet Assistants (3):  Assist with set-up and break down during the banquet.
