Still interested in USA swim? Here is more information below:
- The competition is different compared to SAL meets. The kids in general are faster.
- USA meets are long and typically require more travel to attend. The meet is typically broken up into multiple 5-hour long sessions not including warmup time. Many meets meet include Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday morning for 13 and over, Saturday and Sunday afternoon for 9-12's.
- Parents are expected to volunteer during USA meets. Typically, each team is expected to provide timers for the duration of the swim meets and we will be removed from the meet if we can't provide timers.
- Meet submissions need to be provided early, well before the meet date.
- Please keep in mind that our SAL season will occur as normal including participation in division and league championships and SAL invitational meets. Some but not all of the SAL invitational meets are US sanctioned and your times will count toward qualifying for US championships.
