The Topeka Swim Association (TSA) is seeking a part-time assistant swim coach to join our staff. TSA is a USA Swimming team with age groups ranging from 6 to 18 years old and ability ranging from beginners to National meet qualifiers. With 6 training groups, TSA is seeking to hire for swim groups between 4 and 7 pm with a minimum of 10 hrs a week guaranteed.
Requirements
- Available weekday afternoons between 4 and 7 pm
- Experience in competitive swimming, competitive stroke technique knowledge is key.
- Able to coach athletes ages 6 through 14
- Create dynamic and fun practices that teach the fundamentals of each stroke.
- Willingness to learn and be part of building a positive team culture.
Compensation

Kansas City Blazers Head Site Coach.
Kansas City Blazers and JCPRD seeks an energetic competitive swim coach to join our team! This position:
- Oversees an Age Group site of 80-120 athletes. From novice swimmers to zone qualifiers.
- Sets detailed season plan for athletes, ensuring appropriate site coaches adhere to and implement the plan to ensure athlete development.
- Assists in hiring, training, and supervising site assistant coaches, ensuring all programs are implemented in a safe and effective fashion.
- Is responsible for ensuring adherence to USA Swimming Safe Sport guidelines.
- Cultivates and maintains relationships with athlete parents, community organizations, school districts, and other swim groups to ensure productive partnerships are formed and maintained at a level of excellence.
- Assists in implementing public relations and communication plan to promote the value of the Blazers organization.
- Responsible for designing and organizing clinics and special events.
- Creates, provides, and supports age and skill level-appropriate curriculum for athlete development and progression, assigning athletes to appropriate groups; ensures programs are evaluated effectively while using feedback to make improvements; develops and maintains relationships with community organizations; promotes district-wide programs and initiatives.
- Adheres to monthly budget responsibilities by understanding budget revenues/expenses for each site.
- Days/Hours: Typically, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m./5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; Evenings and weekends, as needed, for meets and special events.

The Blazers operate from five different facilities during the school year and another four outdoor facilities during the summer months. The club hosts 5-8 meets a year. Wichita Swim Club is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head Age Group Coach. Wichita Swim Club, located in Wichita, Kansas and founded in 1954, is home to approximately 300 athletes ranging from entry-level swimmers to Junior National level competitors. Wichita Swim Club is particularly unique as we are one of the few swim clubs nationwide that owns and operates its own indoor 50 meter long and 25 yard wide facility. We are committed to fostering a supportive, yet challenging environment where swimmers can achieve their fullest potential, both in and outside of the pool.
This full-time, exempt position is ideal for a knowledgeable and dedicated coach committed to developing well-rounded athletes in addition to future high school and collegiate swimmers. This role will require a coach who can balance the pressures of competitive swimming with a compassionate approach, consistently encouraging swimmers to reach the next level of performance while ensuring their love for the sport remains intact. Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Athlete Development
- Develop and implement structured age-appropriate training programs to enhance technique, endurance, performance and transitions between competitive levels.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to age group swimmers, focusing on individual growth and team success.
- Plan and oversee age group practice schedules, swim meet preparations, and team-related activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for age group swimmers and their parents, addressing concerns and responding promptly to parent communications.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director/Director of Swimming to ensure the age group program aligns with the overall team philosophy and objectives.
- Seek continuing education in competitive swimming techniques, rules, and training methodologies to continuously enhance the program.
- Coach the highest level of age group swimmers, Silver squad, and assist with other age group squads, as appropriate.
Team Leadership & Administration
- Support the Executive Director in meet preparation. Work with volunteer meet directors and coordinators as needed. Be proficient with team management and meet management, operations, entry software and equipment.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, the Director of Business Operations and the Head Coach to manage the day to day operations of the club and contribute to its long term development.
- Assist with recruitment and outreach efforts to attract swimmers to the program.
- Attend regular staff meetings and assist with preparation as requested by the Executive Director.
- Support club operations through involvement in fundraisers, clinics, camps, evaluations and special events.
- Work with Executive Director/Director of Swimming and Head Coach to ensure appropriate coach staffing for each squad.
Community & Culture
- Foster a culture of teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth within the age group program. Ensure compliance with team policies, league regulations and safety standards.
- Effectively represent WSC and assist the club in fulfilling its vision, mission and goals in a positive and professional manner and in accordance with USA Swimming Code of Ethics and Conduct policies.
- Assist WSC Safe Sport Coordinator to ensure WSC is in compliance with all regulations and training requirements.
- Provide regular updates to parents and athletes regarding training goals, progress, and meet expectations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Current USA Swim Coach Member in good standing
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

- Minimum high school diploma or GED, Bachelors Degree preferred

BASICS: Head Coach will:
● Report to the FTLL Parent Board and contribute information to the board as needed
● Be professional at all times with a strong work ethic, communication, and administrative skills
● Undergo an initial formal job review at 6 months, annually thereafter, from the FTLL Parent Board
● Be enthusiastic and passionate to help swimmers maximize their potential
● Provides day to day direction with hands-on involvement in all wet-side aspects of the swim program
● Lead by example, motivate, enable/empower all swimmers and staff and synchronize staff
● Have a working knowledge of computers and the software Hytek and SportsEngine website.
● Credentialed by and follow USA Swimming Rules and Codes of Ethics
● Pursue annual self-development through the use of clinics and other continuing education
opportunities with FTLL Parent Board approval
● Remain relevant in modern techniques and training methodologies, implement as applicable
SAFETY: Head Coach will:
● Have an emergency plan in place, complete and process all accident forms in a timely manner, report
unsafe conditions
● Ensure proper pool coverage at all times, ensure all pool and facility rules are enforced
● Ensure staff knows emergency procedures and enforces all rules
● Possess on hand (digital is acceptable), signed waivers and emergency contact information for all
swimmers at all times
● Schedule CPR/Lifeguard training and complete in a timely manner
PROGRAM: Head Coach will:
● Develop, implement, staff, manage, and evaluate the competitive program offering that includes
dryland, stretching, weights, practice water time, and participation in competitive venues with assistant
coaches
● Create an atmosphere that enables all swimmers, regardless of age or talent, to enjoy and benefit
from participation and commitment to the sport and team
● Track attendance, test sets, meet times, best times, quality of times, and improvement
● Provide monthly technique practices based on the needs of the swimmers.
● Develop and implement a standardized awards and recognition program for swimmers
● With FTLL Parent Board, plan an annual awards party after short course season
● Respond to all emails, phone calls, and texts within 24 hours unless on vacation; set up an automatic
vacation response if applicable
● Lead the running of 2 swim camps for non-team swimmers between May and August.
SWIMMER TRAINING: Head Coach will
● Set practice times, practice standards, coach coverage, assessment and placement of all swimmers,
and promote when ready
● Ensure proper daily, weekly, and seasonal training plans and goals for the various practice groups
● Be on deck coaching specific groups while overseeing all other groups during practice
● Assist with setting swimmer and team goals and provide incentives to reach those goals
● Specify swimmer/team equipment and uniform needs
● Set practice, locker room, and meet conduct guidelines
● Set discipline policy with FTLL Parent Board approval, administer discipline, communicate with
parents
COMPETITION: Head Coach will
● Provide competitive venues from novice to the nationally ranked, as needed
● Establish meet sign up procedures
● Produce and distribute a Team Calendar within 2 weeks of starting each season
● Build a meet schedule with an average of 1 meet every 4 weeks outside of Championship Season
● Send meet information to parents, enter swimmers in meets, select swimmer events with input from
assistant coaches and parents
● Assist with home meets and the annual Swim-a-Thon
● Ensure all sessions covered by appropriate coaches, supervise assistant coaches where needed
ASSISTANT COACHES: Head Coach will
● Gain approval for coach compensation from the FTLL Parent Board
● Participate in recruitment and selection panel
● Train, mentor, and manage staff. Head Coach is responsible for disciplining or releasing assistant
coaches with FTLL Parent Board approval.
● Meet with staff once a month, schedule practice and meet coverage responsibilities, support
professional development where warranted
● Ensure training, certification, qualification of all coaching staff per USA Swimming guidelines
● Set, enforce a professional climate and standards with all coaches and swimmers
● Establish assistant coach evaluation process and evaluate coaches annually
PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Head Coach will
● Per USA Swimming guidelines, recruit and enable parents to assist with the competitive program
● Attend and participate in board meetings, prepare and present reports, contribute as needed
● Be available to answer questions about the program and swimmers with parents
● Communicate swimmer status with parent/guardian to include challenges, focus, and successes
● Keep parents/guardians informed
ADMINISTRATIVE: Head Coach will
● Propose training & equipment budget, including fees, policies, processes, and coaching related costs
● Submit spending requests, reimbursements, receipts & other documentation to the FTLL Parent board
● Attend Missouri Valley LSC House of Delegates and Coaches meetings
● Have all administrative procedures in place necessary to manage team and staff
● Schedule prospective swimmer placement times and assignments
● Develop group skill requirements, required equipment, optional equipment, and assessment standards
● Implement strategies to enroll new and retain swimmers with FTLL Parent Board approval
● Enter swimmers into meets no later than 48 hours after the FTLL established commitment deadline
with input from the swimmer’s primary coach
● Publish team records on the SportsEngine/Team website and update after each meet as needed
● Ensure registration of all new swimmers within 30 days of team registration and renewal all current
USA Swimming members by Dec 15 per USA Swimming guidelines.
● Work with the FTLL Parent Board to ensure consistent swim schedule and pool/facility availability
● Provide input on FTLL branding elements or items (colors, suits, logo, identity, decals, banner, etc)
● Maintain Swim Outlet store with updated gear requirements
● Plan and attend PAIR Day with FTLL Parent Board
● Attend scheduled practices. If absent, notify FTLL Parent Board immediately and arrange coverage
● Cover assistant coach practice groups if needed
● Assist with other tasks as discussed with FTLL Parent Board
Position Title: Head Age Group Coach & Director for 14 & Under Swimmers
Columbia Swim Club (CSC) is seeking an experienced full-time Head Age Group Coach & Director of our Hickman location for a growing competitive swim team in Columbia, Missouri. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head Age Group Coach/Director for our 14 and under age group swimmers beginning August 1, 2025. The candidate will be responsible for coaching and leading three of our developmental groups, developing their skills, creating, and fostering a positive team culture and supporting the overall growth of CSC. This role includes coaching, team administration, staff leadership, communication with athletes, families, and coaches, while contributing to CSC’s development and success.
This is a 12-month position which offers excellent benefits including health insurance, travel expense reimbursement for meets, 401K, professional support along with a competitive salary of $40-45,000 or higher depending on experience along with a rewarding opportunity to work with a dedicated team of athletes and coaches. Program Growth & Retention:

Administrative Responsibilities:
• Run swimmer evaluations throughout the year and communicate with the new families about joining the club and ensuring a smooth transition.
• Along with the other full-time coaches on staff help manage the team’s meet schedule, ensuring that swimmers are entered into appropriate meets and events for the 3 groups you will lead.
• Collaborate with head coaches and team leadership to manage day-to-day and hosted meet operations along with administrative duties related to the club.

• Attend the weekly staff meeting for the full-time staff to collaborate and work together to ensure both pool locations are working together and on the same page.
Team Travel & Meet Responsibilities:
• Attend swim meets as the head age group coach, managing the team’s warm-ups, event entries, and ensuring swimmers are prepared and focused.
• Supervise and support swimmers at meets, ensuring that they are well-prepared and have a positive experience.
• Provide constructive feedback to athletes on both strengths and areas for improvement, helping them develop their skills.
• Ensure swimmers maintain a positive attitude and always demonstrate good sportsmanship.
•Work with the head coaches to identify and prepare athletes for competitive opportunities, including the highest level meet they qualify for at the end of the season.
Qualifications:
• Proven track record of developing young athletes, with at least 3-5 years of coaching experience, preferably in a USA Swimming environment.
• Currently a USA Swimming Registered Coach (including background check, safety training, and CPR/First Aid).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage athletes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with swimmers, parents, and fellow coaches.
• Ability to work together with fellow coaches, parents, and team leadership to achieve the overall goals of CSC.
• Experience with swim team administration, including meet entries, schedule coordination and social media

Tsunami Swim Team of Kansas City is in search of an up-and-coming
coach to, among other things, assist the Head Coach with deck
coaching of the senior groups. The candidate should have one to two

existing program. Candidates must be a USA Swimming Certified

Tsunami Swim Team of Kansas City is looking for knowledgeable and
energized coaches that enjoy working with young swimmers while

in a variety of pools in Liberty, Missouri and immediate surroundings.
Qualifications:
