Thank you for your interest in the TAC TITANS program! 

We are very excited about the upcoming 2023-2024 season. Our outstanding age-group coaching staff is returning and will be lead by head coaches Bruce Marchionda and JP.

 

IMPORTANT DATES (2023-2024 season)

  • Registration Opens for Returning Swimmers: Wednesday, June 28th
  • Registration Opens for New Swimmers: Wednesday, July 5th
  • Challenge and Elite Tracks Start Date: Monday, August 28th
  • Development and TITANS Prep Start Date: Monday, September 5th

 

REGISTRATION FEES

The registration fee is a yearly, non-refundable fee. 

  • TITANS Registration (all Challenge Track, all Elite Track, Jr.TITANS, and Teen TITANS swimmers): $140
    • This fee includes TWO TITANS t-shirts (Challenge Track, Elite Track, Jr.TITANS, Teen TITANS)
    • This fee includes TITANS swim cap(s) (Challenge Track and Elite Track receive TWO caps, Jr.TITANS and Teen TITANS receive ONE cap)
  • TITANS Prep Registration: $50
    • This fee includes ONE TITANS t-shirt and ONE TITANS swim cap

 

RETURNING SWIMMERS

Please register online for the group recommend by your swimmer's current coach. Click the Green "2023-2024 registration" box to begin this process. Your place will be secure once the registration fee is paid. After completing the registration you will receive a confirmation email from TeamUnify.

All accounts will remain "pending" until mid-August.

 

NEW SWIMMERS

In order to help facilitate your swimmer becoming a TITAN and having the best competitive year-round swimming experience in the Triangle, please follow the steps below to register.

Steps for joining the TITANS:

  • Email Matt Mosher ([email protected]) for an evaluation
  • Visit the TITANS website to register
  • Click the green box in the middle of the screen that reads "2023-2024 Registration"
  • Fill in the necessary Account and Member information
  • Select the roster group recommended by the coach evaluating your swimmer
  • If the group you try to select is full, please contact [email protected] to get on the waitlist for the group
  • Pay the registration fee by cash, check, or online (please note your account will remain "pending" until mid-August)
  • If your registration is successful you will receive a confirmation email.

TITANS REGISTRATION FAQ

Q:  How do I determine what group to register for?

A:  If you are a new swimmer, please email Coach Matt ([email protected]) for an evaluation.  

Returning swimmers, please register for the group recommended by your coach.

If you have not previously discussed group placement with a TITANS swim coach, please feel free to email us at any time to inquire about group placement. Group placement is based on an individual swimmer's experience, age, goals, commitment level, and needs. Please refer to our "Group Placement and Criteria" under the "Swim TITANS" tab.

 

Q:  When should I register for the TITANS?

A:  There are a limited number of spots available in each practice group.  We encourage each family to register as soon as possible. If your group is full when you go to register, please contact us to be added to a waitlist.  

 

Q. When will registration open for the 2024-2025 season?

Registration will open in late June or early July 2024. Active swimmers will be notified about registration via email.

 

Q:  What are the dues structures?

A:  Each practice group has a unique monthly fee.

  • Challenge and Elite track swimmers are yearly contracted and billed 11 months of the year - September through July.  
  • Teen TITANS is billed 12 months of the year. With proper paperwork submitted 15 days in advance of the start of a new month, swimmers may swim on a monthly commitment basis. See Financial Policies for further information.
  • Jr. TITANS are billed 12 months of the year. With the proper paperwork submitted 15 days in advance of the new trimester contract period, swimmers may swim on a 4 month trimester commitment basis. Fall (September - December), Spring (January - April), and Summer (May - August). See Financial Policies for further information.

 

Q:  What is the registration fee?

A: For all athletes registering with the TITANS, there is a yearly, non-refundable, registration fee of $140 per swimmer.  The yearly registration period is September 1st through August 31st each year. This fee includes two t-shirts and swim caps. TITANS Prep swimmers have a $50 registration fee which includes a TITANS t-shirt.

 

Q:  Are there discounts for families with multiple athletes?

A:  Yes. Families with multiple active athletes in the Challenge and Elite tracks will receive a discount on the additional athlete’s fees. There is a 15% discount on the monthly group fees for the second swimmer, 20% for the third and all additional swimmers. Discounts apply to the swimmer’s paying the lesser amount each month. Jr. TITANS and Teen TITANS swimmers are not eligible for multiple swimmer discounts due to the flexibility of their programs.

 

Q: What is the Endowment Fund?

A: The Triangle Aquatic Center (“TAC”) Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that TAC is able to serve the year-round aquatic needs of the Triangle community for generations to come. As a result, TAC has established a yearly, non-refundable, Endowment Fund (“Endowment”) to support the long-term mission, financial health, and vitality of this nonprofit organization. Establishing an endowment is a common practice among nonprofit organizations in order to create long-term financial sustainability. Beginning September 1, 2018, a percentage of revenue from all TAC program fees, a Family Contribution from selected TAC TITANS swimming groups, and community donations will be used to fund the Endowment. 

 

Q. Is there a Volunteer Requirement (Service Credit Policy)?

Yes! The TAC TITANS rely on member families to facilitate TITANS meets in order to provide a positive experience for swimmers and spectators. As the leading nonprofit aquatic facility in North Carolina, we strive to keep our pricing competitive. In order to effectively balance competitive pricing and keep travel costs at a minimum for TITANS families, we regularly host home swim meets in our world-class facility. As a result, we need sufficient coverage at swim meets and team events by our TITANS member families. Please read the service credit policy in detail during registration.
