Scholarship Opportunities

The Nonprofit Triangle Aquatic Center’s mission is to build and operate public aquatic facilities for the health, safety, recreation and competition needs of Triangle citizens and aquatic organizations. In pursuit of this mission, and to support more public access to swimming programs, TAC has created four scholarships to provide more opportunity and affordable access to swimming programs for the children of the Triangle.

Make-A-Splash

The purpose of this program is to reduce the incidence of drowning of children from low income households. Drowning is the second leading cause of accidental death in children age 14 and under. Families with children ages 6-14 who qualify for Wake County’s free or reduced lunch program are eligible to apply. Through our partnership with USA Swimming and our corporate sponsors, we are able to offer reduced priced swim lessons to eligible children in the community. You can apply anytime when community funding is available. Contact Sarah Ryckman at [email protected] for more information.
