Coaches and Directors
Jeffrey started his age group swimming career with the Jersey Wahoos in south jersey. For high school he attended The Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey. His team ranked third in the country his sophomore year, and he was a member of two different relays taking top rank in the nation. The 200 Freestyle relay record lasted 20 years. Jeffrey was recruited to swim at Brown University. During the course of his college career he traveled to train with some of the top coaches in the sport. He broke several school records, and was elected captain his senior year. He competed in the US Olympic trials in 2000 in the 400 free, 400 IM, and the 200 IM. His 800 Freestyle relay record remained after 15 years.
After college he took some time away from the sport. He returned to help coach the East Providence Boys and Girls Club. Jeffrey joined Envious Swimming in the fall of 2012 to help open the second location. Here he contributed to the development of several Jr National level swimmers. Currently, he is the director of aquatics facility at Cumberland High School in Cumberland RI. He is the owner and head performance coach at Anglerfish Aquatics. Founded by Jeffrey in 2019, Anglerfish Aquatics has started small and experienced exciting growth including a high proportion of age group level swimmers and a few achieving top USA Swimming ranks in the country.
In 2021 Jeffrey was inducted into the RI Aquatic Hall of Fame for his personal accomplishments in the water and his continued commitment to swimming in the state of Rhode Island. Jeffrey is an ASCA Level 2 certified coach, and maintains an active role in the local USA Swimming LSC. He maintains Performance Swim Coaching (for Beginners), a Youtube channel dedicated to technique based videos. Jeffrey loves expanding his network and furthering his knowledge of sport of swim.
He lives in Cumberland RI, and loves fantastic food, live music, downhill mountain biking, and dabbling in the real estate market.
