Congrats to Reese Berg, Ty Hollar, and Jonathan Kern for qualifying for the Eastern Zones Age Group Championships. The crew traveled to the Webster Aquatic Center in Webster, NY (near Lake Ontario) to compete against some of the fastest swimmers in the Northeast. Congratulations to Hannah Wilson and Nathaniel Kern on their successes at the 2024 Eastern Zones Speedo Sectionals at Brown University in Rhode Island on 3/20-3/24. This meet has some of the fastest swimmers from over 80 teams in the Northeast, and just qualifying for it is impressive! Both swimmers had a great meet! We had five swimmers qualify for and attend this season’s 13 & Over NJ Swimming Gold Championships at Rutgers this past weekend. They joined other elite swimmers from around our LSC in our state's biggest championship meet. We had a talented crew qualify for a very fast 13 & Overs Silver Championships last weekend at Rutgers University; and they did not disappoint! Some of our swimmers attended this season’s 13 & Over Bronze Championships this past weekend at the John Witherspoon Pool in Princeton over the weekend. They were joined by others from around the LSC for some fast swimming and a last opportunity to earn Silvers times! Congratulations to our 12&Unders who ripped it up at the SIlver Bronze Championships this past weekend at Newark Academy! In a season full of great accomplishments, they proved they weren’t done showing off yet, touching in 9 Top-6 finishes and a bunch of personal bests! Our swimmers hit the blocks for one last regular-season meet of our short-course season at the JAC Winter Finale at the Jersey Aquatic Center in New Providence this past weekend. They joined nine other teams for some great racing that included Prelims/Finals and Timed Finals, sprints and distance, and everything in between! On Tuesday, February 20th, the Parents Committee will be holding an ice cream social at the end of practice for our swimmers as we finish out a great season! Also, we will be holding one last swim swap so bring out any swim suits, swag and equipment that you no longer use. Stop by the table on deck to drop off items and possibly pick up some new ones!
