In our first of two back-to-back weekends in Montgomery, our ‘Cudas traveled to Valley Central High School for the New York Sharks’ January Blitz, and our swimmers didn’t hold back. We had a large turnout at this meet, and our swimmers had drops galore. Out of our 117 individual splashes, an incredible 55 were Personal Bests. Our swimmers traveled north to Ithaca College this past weekend to join 26 other teams at the CNY Invitational hosted by the Syracuse Chargers. This Prelims/Finals meet was an opportunity for some fast swimming amongst swimmers throughout the region. Our 14 attending swimmers did amazing! Our swimmers prepared for this mid-season meet, and it payed off- our 76 splashes resulted in trips to finals, top places, personal bests, new club records, and a few meet high-point winners! There was a lot of fast swimming this weekend at the BB Snowflake meet at Rutgers University. Our Barracudas joined 11 other teams for some pre-holiday racing, and came away with a bunch of fantastic swims! By the end of the weekend, our 15 NJB swimmers had accumulated 23 Personal Bests out of our 44 splashes. A great job by all at our 12&Under Junior Jam! Swimmers from our PreTeam program joined our Junior group for a fun night of racing. Congratulations to all of our swimmers (current AND alumni!) who participated in our 5th Annual Turkey Trials! They ventured outside of their comfort zone this Thanksgiving morning swimming in either the 4000 Free, 4000 IM, 2000 Free, 1650 or 1000 Free. We will be modifying this Saturday morning's practices to allow Coaches and interested swimmers to attend an collegiate dual meet between Lafayette College and Colgate University.
