STAC Sign-Out Policy

All swimmers who qualify to swim in a meet will be entered. The swimmer/swimmer's family is responsible for signing out of any meet that the swimmer cannot attend before the sign-out deadline. The deadline will be emailed to families and posted on the meet's event page when the date is determined. Families can sign out of any meet they cannot attend when the meet is added to the TeamUnify calendar of events.

If you are not attending a meet and do not sign out by the established sign-out deadline, your TeamUnify account will be charged for all associated meet entry fees; this policy has no exceptions.

After the sign-out deadline, the swimmer must Scratch and let us know the swimmer cannot attend. The account will be charged the meet entry fees whether they attend a meet or not after the deadline.

Sign-Out Procedure

To change your swimmer's commitment (Sign-Out):

Sign In to Team Unify > Go to our team's Events > Scroll to the meet> Click, Edit Commitment > Click your swimmer's name > Change your swimmer's Declaration to No >Click, Save at the bottom.

If your swimmer can only swim one day of a meet:

Your Declaration should be Yes > Add necessary information to the Notes box (i.e., Johnny will only swim on Saturday) > Click, Save at the bottom.

   • You can sign out of all meets you cannot attend now. You do not need to wait until a deadline notice is sent.

   • After the deadline passes, if you cannot attend a meet, you must Scratch. Please see the scratch procedure here:        SCRATCH

NOTE: Events must be selected by the sign-out deadline, no changes will be made after the deadline.

Signing out of meets and scratching are two different things.

Signing out is done before a team’s entry is submitted to a meet. This can be done at any time before the signout deadline. The deadline date and time are emailed to all families as a courtesy so they have a last chance to remove their swimmer from an entry. Signed-out swimmers are not charged meet fees.

A scratch is done after the entry is submitted. It does NOT remove a swimmer from an entry, but it informs a team that a swimmer will not be attending. A host team needs this information so there are no gaps during the meet, or heats with no swimmers on the blocks. It keeps the meet running smoothly and the timeline accurate. Scratched swimmers are charged meet fees.
