Jeremiah Stanton Head Coach

Hi there!  I received my degree in Exercise Science and am currently going to grad school for Sports Administration. I have been coaching for about 15 years now. I have coached most of that time with club swimming and 6 years I have coached high school swimming. I have coached a wide range of swimmers with even wider skill ranges.

I am all about helping swimmers grow into great athletes. I am here to help them get faster by swimming smarter not harder. While yardage is important I really stress that technique and efficiency is the key to swimming fast. This will help prepare them for the next level.

Making swimming fun is another priority of mine. Mindless swimming only produces minimal results when compared to a swimmer that is fully engaged mentally. I create and coach in a manner that requires your mind to be constantly thinking. This is done through sets as well as games and challenges.

Hi everyone!

My name is Aspen I am a fifth year Senior at UNM studying Psychology. I was a swimmer for 5 years and one year was under Coach Jeremiah. I have coached for 6 years. Being in the right mindset can change the outcome of your goals drastically. As a coach, I look forward to helping these swimmers grow a strong, positive mindset for success and become the best athletes that they can be.

Devi Piper Kirtland Head Coach
Kimiko Rice Black Group Coach

Hi! My name is Kimiko Rice.

My love for swimming all started when I had my first swim lessons at Haynes pool at the age of three. Since then I have always loved the water, but I didn't competitively swim until I joined my first club team at the age of ten. I have swam competitively for eight years. Three of those years I have swam with Mako and have learned the culture and that technique is a big part of making swimmers reach their full potential. In addition to swimming club, I also have swam with the Rio Rancho High School Team for four years. For my last year of high school swimming, I had the opportunity to be captain, which helped me realized I enjoy helping others reach their goals.

I started coaching for MAKO in 2016 and continued to improve my skills and knowledge of swimming. I am very excited to teach and help swimmers reach their full potential.
