Dear Orinda Aquatics Family, Although this thank-you is long overdue, I want you to know how wonderful it was to receive the clothes and other items that you donated to the AIDS orphans in Africa . Wesorted through the clothes to make different sized ‘outfits’ of a top& pants/shorts or dress, plus one pair of underwear and a toothbrush. The children were soooooo thrilled - they squealed with delight as they tried on the clothes! As news traveled of the ‘new’ clothes, over 30 additonal kids came to the carepoint...

Kim Vandenberg (OA, Campo, MTSC) is one of three swimmers nominated for "Breakout Performance of the Year" by USA Swimming based on her Silver Medal performance at World Championship in Melbourne in March. Weekly Update World Championships - Melbourne, Australia Swimming in only her 2nd International meet representing the United States, Orinda Aquatic's own Kim Vandenberg swim a lifetime best of 2:06.71 to place second in the 200M Butterfly, just .51 seconds behind World Record holder Jessicah Schipper of Australia.
