That's right! Our summer time location is converted to THE DOME each fall. It's a Hydra tradition for our swimmers and families to gather for the raising and tear down of THE DOME.

Evan Straw - General Manager

Raised in Columbus since the age of five, Evan has spent over 15 years working pool-side in Greater Columbus Area. His expertise includes coaching swimming, training and instructing poolside staff, and pool management. During his career, Evan has worked for The City of Westerville Parks and Rec Department, Westerville City Schools, The Greater Columbus Swim Team of Ohio, and Worthington Pools. He has a degree from OSU in Design, and is very excited to build upon the framework that has served as the foundation for Hydra Aquatics. You can reach Evan at [email protected]

Luke Birnbrich - Assistant Manager

Luke was born and raised here in Columbus, Ohio. He’s been around pools his entire life and has been working in aquatics for over 9 years. During this time, Luke has been a Lifeguard, Swim Coach, Aquatics Coordinator, and an Assistant Manager. In that time, Luke has worked for the Gahanna YMCA and Hydra Aquatics. Luke, being here from the beginning of Hydra Aquatics is proud of what it has become and is excited to watch it continue to grow. You can reach Luke at [email protected]
