Below are answers to some of our most commonly asked questions about our swim lesson program at Hydra Aquatics.
Where are lessons located?
Our lessons are held at the Byers Family Aquatic Pavilion at Jefferson Country Club pool. The Dome allows us to convert our outdoor facility into an indoor pool, making it perfect for our fall and winter season. Address: 7271 Jefferson Meadows Dr, Blacklick, Ohio 43004.
Do you offer make-ups?
Yes — as long as notice is given 24 hours in advance, we will work to fit in a make-up lesson during other open class times.
What do I need to bring to lessons?
Swimmers need a towel, swimsuit, and a change of clothes. Goggles are recommended (we have loaners available). We also suggest tying long hair back in a ponytail or braid to help with breathing drills.
Is there a place to change?
Yes! There’s a bathroom inside the building next to the pool on the right. During colder months, the dome also includes on-deck changing stations.
How can I get updates for cancellations?
We send updates to the emails on file. For text alerts, go to your account profile and verify your phone number to opt in.
How do I know when registration is open?
We notify current families by email. We also announce registration on social media, so follow us to stay updated!
Are lessons canceled for inclement weather?
When the dome is up, lessons continue — it’s fully indoors. In summer, we cancel for lightning or if the temperature is below 63°F. Rain alone does not cancel lessons.
