Team Spirit - They wear their Sea Dragon colors with pride. She is there for team warm up even on mornings when she has the option to come in late and stays after her races to cheer on her teammates and watch their races and acts in the spirit of being a teammate.   Charlotte Mo

Just Add Water -  This swimmer really loves the sport of swimming.  They are excited to be at practice, come in with a great attitude, they are a great teammate in and out of the water, are open to learn something new about the sport, try something new with their technique, or inquisitive about the rules at meet.    Ethan Mary

In It to Win It - This swimmer has started to unleash their inner competitor this season and it has been very fun to watch.  They are learning to really race and compete, both in practice and at meets.  She can often be found looking at the times of the other swimmers in her heats and will come up to tell me who she is going to work to keep up with or beat.  She swims so smoothly, at her first Senior Meet a few months ago I had to ask her "what are you thinking about when you race?"  She looked at me and quietly answered "I'm thinking about who I'm going to catch and pass next."  While her voice is quiet, her new competitive spirit is not.     Charlotte King-Thomas

Most Improved -  There are a lot of factors that could come into play when looking at a Most Improved Swimmer...attendance, stroke technique, team spirit, intervals, meet performances.  This swimmers' name kept showing up on the list no matter the factor.  Moving from Rank 20th to 7th on the team, she has shown great improvement across the board and is now vying for a spot on the A 200 Free Relay at this summer's REAL Championship. She's come a long way in the last few months and we are excited to watch her push herself and her teammates this spring.   Sophie Seller

Coaches Award-  As coaches, we are dedicated to developing athletes that love the sport, are focused on long term goals, as well as encourage their teammates to work hard for their success while having fun.  This swimmer personifies the mission of the Sonoma Sea Dragons; to provide a safe, healthy, and positive community where members, of all levels of ability, can achieve success through their experiences in competitive swimming.
This season's Coaches Award is going to a Platinum swimmer who has been a dedicated participant in this season's team events, meets, and practices.  They are encouraging to their teammates, learning to cheer on someone else's highs when they themselves might not be feeling their best.  They are working hard on improving technique and often will challenge themselves to step out of their comfort zone.  Recently she swam the 200 Fly in a meet for the first time, afterwards saying she was proud of herself for doing it...I think it might end up being one of her stronger events.
At a practice a few weeks ago we were talking about the sport and her goals.  When I ask her "What is your why?" she answers "Can I say because it's fun?"  And as a coach, I can't think of a better answer.
This season's coaches award goes to...   Delaney Reynolds
